RIP Helen Gurley Brown

Yeah, I watch the news now that we only have basic cable. Brown was the original editor for Cosmo magazine and promoted the image of a strong, single and openly sexual woman through her influence on Cosmo and her own personal writing.  Even though she spent a lot of time under fire from other feminists for telling women about ways to “please their man”, it would also be fair to say that she had exploited the fact that men sexualized women and used that sexuality to empower women rather than objectify.
